Reiki

What is reiki?

“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing, This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century.
The method of receiving Reiki is simple., you will remain clothed and lie on a couch and relax. I will gently place my hand in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near your body. There is no massage or manipulation.

There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence reiki can help the body emotionally or spiritually. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system. It can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide emotional support during recovery.

Reiki’s gentle energy is easily adapted to most medical conditions and may be used safely by people of all ages, from new-born babies to the frail and the elderly. It is widely used with pregnant mothers, surgical patients and many other conditions.
